House cleaning proposal template

Recurring cleaning is sold on trust and predictability, not on the lowest number. This template sets up the first deep clean as a fresh start, the recurring visit as a fixed price, and the add-ons as optional lines the client controls, so nobody is surprised on the first invoice.

Terms

The deep clean deposit is due at signing. Recurring visits are billed per visit and can be paused or cancelled any time with two days notice. We are insured and bonded; anything we break, we replace.

Sample content and prices. Optional items are marked; on a real proposal the client toggles them and the total updates.

What a cleaning proposal should include

Describe the first visit separately. A deep clean resets the house so the recurring visits can be priced for maintenance, and pricing it as its own line explains why visit one costs double. Then the recurring visit: frequency, rooms, and a checklist the client can read. The checklist is the proposal's real content; it prevents the "I thought you did windows" conversation.

State who comes, what you bring, and what happens when a visit needs to move. Same cleaner each time is worth writing down because it is the thing clients ask about most.

Add insurance and bonding in a single sentence. It reassures more than a paragraph of policy.

How to price the optional items

Inside the oven and fridge, laundry, and windows are the natural add-ons. Leave them off by default: cleaning clients are price sensitive on the recurring number, and an optional line they turn on themselves feels like their choice rather than an upsell. A $35 laundry add-on on a biweekly plan is $900 a year per client.

Mistakes that lose cleaning clients

Quoting an hourly rate. Clients hear a ticking meter. Quote per visit for a defined scope. Skipping the deep clean. Maintenance pricing on a neglected house means a bad first visit and a cancellation. No cancellation terms. Two days notice, in writing, prevents the same-morning cancel that costs you a slot.

Deposit and payment

Take the deep clean as a 50 percent deposit at signing so a no-show does not cost you the day, then bill recurring visits after each one. The template handles the deposit by card; recurring billing can run through your existing invoicing until it moves into YesPage.

Questions

Should I charge more for the first cleaning?
Yes, usually about double the recurring rate. Say why in the proposal: the first visit brings the house to the standard the recurring visits maintain.
How do I handle add-ons?
As optional lines the client toggles on the proposal. They see the price update live and choose. You can change defaults per client.
Can the client cancel any time?
Set the notice period in the terms. Two days for a visit and thirty days for the plan are common and fair.
